Expected result with ^BC
The example encodes SKU-1042 with 100-dot bars and readable text below. Change the first Y in ^BCN,100,Y,N,N to N: the caption disappears but encoded data stays the same.
What should I check if ^BC does not give the expected result?
Ordinary Code 128 does not become GS1-128 by adding parentheses to text. If your integration requires GS1, check FNC1 and application identifiers. Also leave quiet zones and validate the value with the target reader.
