Expected result with ^B3
AB-12 uses uppercase letters, digits and a hyphen, supported by basic Code 39. ^B3N,N,80,Y,N selects normal orientation, no Mod 43 check digit, height 80 and text below. Compare its width with Code 128 for the same data.
What should I check if ^B3 does not give the expected result?
Do not expect basic Code 39 to preserve lowercase or accents. If enabling the check digit, configure the reader too and check whether it transmits or strips it; your application may otherwise receive a different value.
