Expected result with ^FR
^GB creates a black rectangle and ^FR reverses the overlapping LOT A17 text, making it white there. NORMAL is outside and has no ^FR. Move LOT A17 outside the rectangle to see that reversal depends on the background.
What should I check if ^FR does not give the expected result?
^FR does not draw its own black text box or invert the entire label. It applies to its field: repeat it for each field to reverse and ensure the background covers that field’s full area.
