An asset tag gives equipment a permanent identity: an asset ID, a short description and a barcode for audits and check-outs. This ZPL template is built for IT and fixed-asset tracking and prints crisply on durable labels at 203, 300 and 600 DPI.
What is this label for?
Asset tags let you track who has what and where it is. Scanning the asset ID during inventories, maintenance and transfers keeps your asset register accurate and makes audits painless.

Frequently asked questions
Barcode or QR for asset tags?
Code 128 is great for a short asset ID; choose a QR if you want to embed a link to the asset's record. Switch either in the editor.
Will it survive on equipment?
The ZPL prints to whatever label stock you load — use durable or polyester labels for assets that take wear.
Can I print sequential asset numbers?
Yes. Use the counter element in the editor to auto-number a batch of tags.
