How to create a QR for your WiFi
Fill in your network details
Enter the network name (SSID) exactly as it appears on your router, the password and the security type (usually WPA/WPA2).
If your network has no password, pick “No password”. If it is hidden, tick “Hidden network”.
Share or print the QR
Download the QR as PNG to send it, show it on a screen or print it on a poster or sticker.
Your guests just point their phone camera at the QR and tap to connect.
Privacy and security
Everything happens in your browser: neither the network name nor the password leave your device.
Still, anyone who scans the QR can connect, so place it only where you want to grant access.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. On iPhone just use the Camera app; on Android, the camera or system QR scanner (Android 10+). The phone detects the WiFi QR and offers to connect.
Is it safe? Is my password sent anywhere?
The QR is generated entirely in your browser; the password is never sent to a server. Note the QR contains the password, so anyone who scans it can connect.
Which security type should I pick?
Most home networks use WPA/WPA2 (or WPA3). Pick WEP only for old networks, and “No password” for open ones.
Can I print the QR on a label?
Yes. Download it as PNG, or click “Print on a label” to generate the ZPL and open it in the editor, ready for a Zebra printer.
Does it work with hidden networks?
Yes. Tick “Hidden network” so the QR includes that info and the phone can still connect.
